$5000 to $10,000 Challenge Match Grant

The Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation is now offering the Robert David Lion Gardiner Challenge Match Grant to our historic stewards.

One award of $5000 to $10,000 max to matched

Requirements for submission:

• *A letter of intent to apply is required by March 31, 2025.
• *Fundraising is to be designated as The RDLGF Challenge Match Grant.
• *Historic stewards who are a 501 (c) (3) established for minimum of 3 years, with a historic mission,
• *Must have a budget maximum of $250,000,
• *Each organization is to raise between $5000 and $10,000 net after expenses. 
• *These funds must come from new offerings, to include and not be limited to event attendance, increased membership, gift shop sales or donor solicitation,

Not Allowed:

• * This challenge may not be part of any existing fundraising efforts not to include Capital Campaigns already in progress, NYSCA or other previously awarded grants,
• * The match may not come from any existing organizational accounts,
• * Promises of donations may not be included.
• All paperwork and accounting must be sent to gardiner@rdlgfoundation.org by December 5, 2025.
