A grant of $500,000 from the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation will support the creation of a Center for Research within The Green-Wood Cemetery’s upcoming Welcome Center, set to open to the public in spring 2026. An integral part of the new building, the Center for Research will provide ways for the public to engage with Green-Wood’s rich history and 187+ years of archival records. It will include an Exhibition Gallery, a Reading Room, and an Archives Storage Room.
