The Association of Public Historians of NYS held a very successful conference in Port Jefferson, gathering together municipal historians from all over New York for several days. The conference which is an annual event that travels to a different section of the state every year. It had been ten years since the last conference held on Long Island, and with the rising prices we would have not been able to afford having the conference here without the help of the RDLG Foundation grant.
